Strong storm will affect the region Tuesday afternoon or evening through Thursday. This will be the strongest storm of the season so far and is more typical of the strong storms that we see for this time of year. Here, expect some wind gusts of 25-35 mph at times, especially between 8pm Tuesday and about noon Wednesday. Wind gusts of 35 mph are not destructive and usually DON'T cause any damage (although can't rule out a weakened tree limb being blown off and a very low chance of a weak tree being blown over). Isolated thunderstorms. Total rainfall from this storm 1.00-1.50". Snow levels above 4000' today (Monday), climbing to above 5000' Tuesday and all of Wednesday, then above 3800' Thursday.
Friday will probably be dry and probably Saturday as well, then a weak storm passes through Sunday afternoon or evening through Monday morning (1/4" rain, no wind concerns). The rest of next week is up in the air because it will all depend on how strong high pressure gets which will determine whether more storms pass through or get deflected away from the state. Most data leans toward high pressure being strong enough for next week to end up dry but then signals strongly lean towards Thanksgiving week being wet and stormy (which is normal for us). Thanksgiving week is not 100% so stay tuned for updates.
