Some rain, nothing to worry about...

March 21, 2025

Friday Mar 21: No concerns for excessive rainfall or freezing temps through the end of the month! Area rainfall from Wednesday through this morning has been 0.65"-0.88".

  • Up to another 1/2" of rain to midnight and 1/10" or less of isolated to scattered showers on Saturday. Winds mostly 10 mph or less with just a few 10-20 mph gusts possible at times (primarily today (Friday)).
  • Sunday may have a few light showers but that's about it. Dry Sunday night through Tuesday night. Highs Mon+Tue upper 60's to low 70's. We last hit 70° on Feb 28; prior to that it was way back on October 26. Normal high/low right now is 58/36.
  • Wednesday through the end of next week and possibly the following weekend (Sat-Sun Mar 29-30), two medium-strong strength low pressure systems expected to affect entire region / all of western Oregon with 1" of rainfall and 15-25 mph wind gusts at times. Thunderstorm chances will exist (may cause brief heavy downpours, small hail, gusty winds). Some uncertainties, forecast may change a little as better data comes in.
  • Concerningly cold temperatures not expected: lows above / well above freezing right on through the end of the month.
