Storm system system strengthened offshore which allowed it to slow down a bit, causing rain to arrive about 90 minutes later than the previously forecast window. Updated data this morning is supportive of southerly winds possibly gusting up tp to 25-35 mph this afternoon and evening. Highest wind gust potential is between 1pm and 9pm. Keep in mind that this is conditional on several factors coming together, so the stronger wind gusts may not materialize here.

Rainfall: Total rainfall today looks to be 1/2"- 1". Most of the rainfall with this storm will occur today, to about midnight. Periods of rain will change over to showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon.

Sunday: Scattered light showers with dry breaks likely, less than 1/5" (0.20") of rain. Also can't rule out an isolated thunderstorm on Sunday.

Snow levels: 7000' today, then 4500' Sunday.

Memorial Day (Monday): Partly cloudy, a little warmer, chance for just an isolated shower or two.

Tuesday-Wednesday: Dry.

Next chance of showers look to be Thursday through Friday or next Saturday. Data is not in complete harmony for later next week, so the forecast might be adjusted a little. Based on what I see at this time, it does look like we'll have some wet periods between Thursday and next weekend. I left Mother Nature a voicemail begging her to give us some dry weekends.

Next Two Weeks: Odds favor a higher probability of above normal rainfall and below normal temperatures.
