Hot through Sunday then relief starting Monday

July 29, 2022

It's so hot, ice cream trucks are melting! Continued hot and muggy through Saturday (highs 95-100) with just a little cooling on Sunday (highs 90-95). Monday is when we'll see appreciable cooling (highs in the mid 80's). Then Tuesday-Thursday, highs will only be near 80. Some indications that we'll bump to near 90 for a few days starting around August 6 or 7, but not expecting a repeat of what we're going through now.

There's some instability across the area so can't rule out a stray thunderstorm anytime through Saturday or Sunday.

Although August will start out at near to slightly below normal temperatures, seeing signs that we may then have above normal temps starting around August 6 through around the middle of the month (preliminary).
