Friday: Our brief cool down will come to an end this weekend, but very hot temperatures (90's) will only be for 2-3 days this time. Highs around 90 tomorrow, mid 90's Sunday (hottest day), then near 90 Monday. Tuesday through the end of next week, highs are expected to drop back into the 80's and be near to slightly above the normal of 84. Regarding storm systems, nothing significant to note over the next 7-10 days. Also, no major heatwaves are seen at this time over the next couple of weeks.
Local fire danger is moderate. Looking way ahead, at this time I think we'll see above average rainfall kick in during October. La Nina will stick around for a third consecutive year (rare), which increases the probabilities for above normal precipitation Fall through Winter. We'll talk more about this next month.
