Dry through Halloween, then rain returns Wednesday or Thursday...

October 28, 2023

Saturday: Low temperatures this morning varied at 26° in some of the outskirt areas to 32° at KNND in downtown Cottage Grove. About one to three degrees warmer tonight with further warming Monday night. Anomalous and strong high pressure across the western U.S. will keep us dry through Halloween (see the map below). It then looks like high pressure will break down and allow storms to pass through, starting on Wednesday or Thursday. Lets see what the data shows over the next couple of days, so look for an update on Monday. Until then, stay warm (remember to bring pets in at night!).

NOTE about the poll in the Facebook group: The poll doesn't affect this website. Updates will continue here, and it looks like also in the Facebook group as well (based on poll results so far).
