Dry & Smoky through Thursday, then RAIN!

October 18, 2022

Tuesday Oct 18 1:00pm: Air quality is currently "very unhealthy." Winds are blowing from an easterly direction which is causing smoke to be brought into our area from the Cedar Creek Fire (near Oakridge). Expect varying amounts of smoke and resultant poor air quality through Thursday or possibly Friday morning.

A series of storms will then periods of rain and showers to the entire area Friday afternoon through much of next week. Halloween is looking wet right now. This will give us a good air exchange so air quality will improve. Much colder daytime temperatures of 55-60 are expected Saturday onward.

Total rainfall Friday afternoon through Saturday looks to be around 1/2" and 2-5" of snow above 5000-6000'. Winds can gust up to 25 mph. The Sunday evening to Monday morning system will bring about another 1/4". A strong system may affect the region on Tuesday with wind and rain.
