Arctic Air = Very Cold +Low Snow Levels!

February 19, 2022

Saturday Feb 19: Very cold, Arctic air and low snow levels on the way! Remember your animals. Light rain showers after 10:00pm Sunday night to late Monday night. Expect around 1/4" of total rainfall. Snow levels 1000-1500', but may drop to near 700' Monday night and early Tuesday morning with just some flakes or a dusting. Most precipitation will occur 10pm Sunday to 6pm Monday. No wind issues, less than 20 mph.

Low temperatures 15-20 Tuesday night, around 20 Wednesday night, 20-25 Thursday night, 25-30 Friday night. High temps in the 40's Sunday, then mid-30's to low 40's Mon-Thurs.

Next chance of rain may be around March 1. With the latest outlooks signaling that March will have near normal precipitation (image below supports this), it's looking highly unlikely that we'll be able to make up our precipitation deficit of 5". Yes, you read that correct - at the end of February we're expected to be behind by just over 5.00" of rain!
