Rain/showers through Wednesday; dry Thursday + most of Friday...

October 9, 2023

Monday: Storm #1 will affect the area today with 0.20-0.35" of rainfall, winds 15 mph or less. Medium strength Storm #2 moves in early Tuesday morning with solid moderate to heavy at times rain developing after 3:00am (probably closer to 5am-ish). Winds on Tuesday could gust to 25 or 30 mph at times. Total rainfall on Tuesday could approach 1-1.25". Wednesday will have up to 1/2" of showers and breezes 20 mph or less. Snow levels mostly 6000' or higher, but could flirt down to 5000-5500' at times (mainly Tuesday night and Wednesday night).

Dry Thursday into Friday morning then rain chances increase again later Friday afternoon. More storms over the weekend and into early next week; looks like three weak to moderate strength systems dropping a combined 1/2"-2/3" of total rainfall. No wind concerns at this time.

  • Annular Eclipse on Saturday morning will, unfortunately, have cloudy skies and rain. But you'll still be able to experience the most noticeable effect of the eclipse, as it will go dark for just over 4 minutes from 9:16am to 9:20am. Sit on your porch or be somewhere outside and listen to what the birds and insects do when it starts to go dark! It's a really neat experience! Information below:
