Early fall-like weather pattern will continue this week, but it'll be much warmer later in the week and through the weekend as high pressure strengthens. After summer-like heat Thursday through Sunday, temperatures should start to cool back closer to our normal of 78/46 by the middle of the following week (Wed Sept 20). It's normal for temperatures to swing around during this time of year as we transition into fall.

Seeing strong signals that the "R" word (rain) "may" start to come into the picture around Sept 21/22/23-ish. However, since this is still almost two weeks into the future, some unknowns exist: mainly how far south into our area the storm systems will reach and how much moisture low pressure systems will pack. I do think that some sort of a rainy pattern will kick in during the last week of September and continue as the calendar changes over into October. To be clear, I'm not saying that it'll rain all the time - just that storm systems will likely start sagging more south into our area and bring better chances for showers and rain.

Tomorrow (Monday Sept 11) is a Day of Remembrance - Patriot Day. One summer when I was a kid in the late 1970's, my parents sent me to New York to visit relatives. I remember my uncle taking me to the top of the original World Trade Center in New York City. What stood out was the long elevator ride to the top that took something like 10-20 minutes and the amazing views!
